The Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme was allowed by the Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana state Mr. Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka during any event in Hyderabad city. During the announcement, the Minister announced that this scheme will provide self-employment opportunities to young citizens by providing financial assistance for the initial capital of the business. According to the information a total of 5 lakh young citizens across Telangana state will receive the benefits under this scheme. Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme Registration Date Extended
Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has announced that the last date of registration under the Yuva Vikasam Scheme has been extended until April 14, 2025. Objective of Telangana Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme
The main objective of launching the Telangana Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme is to enhance self-employment among young citizens and allow them to become successful entrepreneurs. By providing financial assistance of INR 3 lakh to start the business the Telangana state government will allow the young citizens to showcase their business minds. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to receive benefits from the scheme, candidates should possess these criteria’s
- 21-60 years for agricultural and allied sectors/
- The income limit for rural areas is INR 1,50,000 per annum.
- The income limit for urban areas is INR 2,00,000 per annum.
- Ration card details should be given in Application for and only in such cases where ration card is not available.
- The income certificate should be submitted by the candidate only if it has been issued by the Meeseva

Selection Process
- The beneficiaries will be selected on the basis of their clearance of eligibility criteria.
- All the citizens who are currently unemployed will be selected by the Telangana state government.
- Only the young citizens of Telangana state who want to start there on business will be selected by the authorities.
- The beneficiaries must make sure to fill out the application form before the last date to confirm their selection under the scheme.
Mandal Level Verification
The Mandal Level Committee is made up of the following members:
1. Convener: MPDO, Municipal Commissioner (Municipality), or Zone Commissioner (Municipal Corporation).
2. Mandal special officer (designated by the district collector)
3. All bank managers or their designated representatives under the Mandal’s authority.
4. The SC, ST, BC, Minorities, and EBC (EWS) Finance Corporations’ representatives.
5. A DRDA representative.
The Mandal Level Screening Committee will confirm the candidates’ eligibility and the veracity of their papers.
- The committee will evaluate the viability of the candidate’s chosen self-employment plan.
- In the case of bank linkage programs, the list of qualified applicants will be sent to bankers for loan eligibility verification and approval; in the case of non-bank linkage schemes, it will be sent to the District Officer of the relevant corporation.
- After thorough verification, the responsible banker will approve the approval of a bank loan for all qualified applicants.
- The Mandal Level Committee will forward the list, together with the data of the non-operative bank accounts, to the District Level Committee (DLC) for final approval and selection.
District Level Verification
- The District Level Committee (DLC) is responsible for ensuring that a selection committee is established at the mandal level and that beneficiaries are chosen on time.
- For both bank-linked and non-bank-linked programs, the District Level Committee (DLC) will determine the beneficiary list based on district-specific goals.
- Multiple comparable self-employment schemes cannot be approved in the same village in order to maintain the sustainability of self-employment units. (For instance, staying away from several Kirana stores in one village).
- Additionally, depending on the self-employment plan chosen, the beneficiaries must get orientation training prior to grounding, which may take anywhere from one week to fifteen days, and properly connect with handholding agencies for continued assistance.
- After receiving clearance from the Hon’ble In-charge Minister of the District, the District Collector would impose the ultimate punishments.
- To speed up the transfer of the loan component to the beneficiaries, District-Level Consultative Committee (DCC) meetings will be held, and they will be closely watched.
Training Process
- Through the affiliated training institutions, the chosen beneficiaries will receive the necessary training, which might last anywhere from one week to fifteen days.
- Prior to the scheme’s introduction, EDP training (which may last anywhere from one week to fifteen days) must be given.
- Every beneficiary who has been grouped together according to the chosen scheme or line of activity will get a comprehensive training schedule from the District Collector.
- Sector-specific training for various self-employment programs must be provided by recognized state and federal government institutes.
