Objective of PM Internship Scheme Phase 2
The main objective of launching the PM Internship Scheme Phase 2 is to help the young citizens of India who are left out under the first phase. With the help of this scheme, young citizens will get a chance to work along with professionals in top companies in India including Jubilant Foodworks, Maruti Suzuki India, Eicher Motors, Larsen & Toubro Ltd., Muthoot Finance, etc. The authority will also provide a stipend of INR 5000 to all the selected interns and a one-time grant of INR 6000 for their settlement.

About PM Internship First Phase
The first phase of the PM internship scheme was launched on 3rd October 2024 and the last date to fill out the application form online is 15 November 2024. Under the first phase, the authorities have received almost 6 lakh applications from young citizens of India. Last year more than 28000 young citizens across India started their internship journeys at top companies across India. According to the information, a total of 280 companies including HDFC Bank, Maruti Suzuki, Larsen & Toubro, and Mahindra have participated in phase 1 of the scheme and have posted a total of 127,000 internship offers.

Eligibility Criteria
- The young citizens must be a permanent resident of India.
- The young citizens must be currently unemployed.
- The young citizens must have at least cleared class 10th.
- The annual income of the young citizen’s family must not exceed INR 8 lakh.
- The young citizens must be between the age group of 21 to 24 years.
Ineligibility Criteria
- All the citizens whose annual income is more than INR 8 lakh are not eligible to apply.
- All dose citizens whose family member is a government employee is not eligible to apply.
- Graduates from IITs, ILMs, National Law Universities, USER, NIDs, and IllTs are not eligible to apply for the scheme.
- Those having qualifications such as CA, and CMA. CS, MBBS, BDS. MBA, any masterโs or higher degree.
- Those undergoing any skill, apprenticeship, internship or student training program under Central Government or State Government schemes.
- Those who have completed the apprenticeship. training under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) or the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) at any point.

Education Qualification
