According to the reports as of now, 90,000 new opportunities have been posted on the official portal by 193 companies across India. About PM Internship Scheme
The PM Internship Scheme was launched by the Prime Minister of India Mr Narendra Modi to provide employment opportunities to the unemployed young citizens of the country. Through this scheme, the young students who have completed their education will receive internship opportunities at top companies in India. Top companies including Jubilant Foodworks, Maruti Suzuki India, Eicher Motors, Larsen & Toubro Ltd., Muthoot Finance, and Reliance Industries have contributed towards the successful implementation of the scheme. The selected students will receive a stipend of INR 5000 from the Government of India. The internship opportunity will allow young citizens to experience a real work culture by working along with professionals in an established office.

Aadhar Card eKYC
It is very essential for the young citizens to complete their Aadhar eKYC to avail the benefits of the scheme. Completing eKYC is essential because it allows authorized entities to verify a person’s identity digitally using Aadhaar information stored in the UIDAI database. The young citizen can easily complete the eKYC of their Aadhar card using the official website and entering very basic details.
Education Qualification
Since the scheme is only available to those who have successfully completed their class 10th examination it is essential for the students to showcase their educational qualifications. Since the scheme is only available to citizens who are above the age of 21 and below the age of 24 years it is essential to showcase a valid age proof. To provide proof of age the young citizens can show their Aadhar card, birth certificate, PAN card, or school marksheets.
Bank Details
Bank account details are essential so that young citizen can easily receive their monthly stipend and one-time grant. The government will provide the monthly stipend of INR 5000 transferred directly to the bank account of the selected citizens through the direct bank transfer method.
Mobile Number
The students must have a valid and working mobile number to receive all kinds of necessary information and important calls. Mobile numbers can serve as a digital identity, allowing individuals to be uniquely identified and authenticated online. A mobile number is essential to complete OTP-based authentication.
Eligibility Criteria
- The citizens must be a permanent resident of India.
- The citizens must be a youth.
- The citizens must be currently unemployed.
- The citizens must have at least cleared class 10th.
- The citizens must be between the age group of 21 to 24 years.
Ineligibility Criteria
- All the citizens whose annual income is more than INR 8 lakh are not eligible to apply.
- All dose citizens whose family member is a government employee is not eligible to apply.
- Graduates from IITs, ILMs, National Law Universities, USER, NIDs, and IllTs are not eligible to apply for the scheme.
- Those having qualifications such as CA, and CMA. CS, MBBS, BDS. MBA, any master’s or higher degree.
- Those undergoing any skill, apprenticeship, internship or student training program under Central Government or State Government schemes.
- Those who have completed the apprenticeship. training under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) or the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) at any point.
