With the help of financial assistance job seekers can significantly enhance their skills and become financially independent until they are not getting a permanent job. The scheme was first launched by the West Bengal State Government on 1st October 2013. About WB Yuvashree Prakalpa
The chief minister of West Bengal State Mrs Mamata Banerjee launched the scheme to allow unemployed citizens to become financially independent until they are not getting a job. According to the information, the financial assistance of INR 1500 will be given to the selected unemployed citizens under the WB Yuvashree Prakalpa scheme. Using financial assistance the unemployed citizens can significantly enhance their overall skills and make themselves become more employable. The beneficiaries can also register under the Employment Bank to get various employment opportunities from different private or government sectors.
Objective of Yuvashree Prakalpa
The main objective of launching the Yuvashree Prakalpa scheme is to eliminate home unemployment in West Bengal State and uplift the financial status of unemployed citizens. With the help of the financial assistance, the unemployed citizens can carry out their expenses on their own without depending upon anyone. The West Bengal State Government will also launch skill development training programs to and hands the skills of the citizens enrolled in the employment bank. The financial assistance of INR 1500 per month will be transferred directly to the bank account of the beneficiaries through the DBT process.

Eligibility Criteria
- The citizens should be a residents of West Bengal.
- The citizens must be unemployed.
- The citizens should be enrolled with the Employment Bank as a ‘job seekers’.
- The citizens should be class 8th pass and above.
- The citizens should be between 18-45 years of age on the 1st day of April of the year in which he/she is considered under the scheme.
- The citizens had not availed financial assistance /loans under any state/central government-sponsored Self-Employment scheme.
- Only one member of a family is eligible to receive assistance under the scheme.
