The Telangana state government has announced the launch of Telangana Ugadi Gift 2025. Under this initiative the Telangana state government will provide 6 kgs of fine rice to all the financially weak citizens of the state for free. This initiative will be released by the Telangana state government on 30th March 2025 making it a gift for all the citizens on the special occasion of the Ugadi festival. All the citizens of Telangana state who hold a valid ration card are eligible to avail the benefits of the Telangana Ugadi Gift 2025. About Free 6kg Fine Rice Distribution Scheme
To provide a total of 6 kg of fine and high-quality rice to the financially weak citizens of Telangana state the Telangana state government has launched the Free 6kg Fine Rice Distribution Scheme. According to the information, the Chief Minister of Telangana state Mr. Reddy will start the implementation of the scheme from Nalgonda district of Telangana state. The Civil Supplies Minister of Telangana state Mr N Uttam Kumar Reddy benefitted a total of 3 crore citizens of Telangana state making it one of the biggest food security schemes in independent India.

Objective of Ugadi Free Rice Distribution Scheme
The main objective of launching the Ugadi Free Rice Distribution Scheme is to allow the financially unstable citizens of Telangana state to get access to high-quality rice. By launching this scheme, the Telangana state government will provide benefits to more than 84% of the total population of the state. Through this scheme, the Telangana state government will replace the low-quality rice which 90% of the citizens refused to take. Only the citizens of Telangana state who hold a valid ration card and belong to the blow poverty line category are eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme.
