Telangana Ration Card Update
On Sunday, January 19, Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) requested that the Telangana government raise the income and land holding thresholds for new ration card eligibility. The senior BRS leader also urged improvements, such as expanding the qualifying requirements to guarantee that no impoverished family is left out, citing rising inflation as the justification for his proposal.

Objective of Telangana Ration Card
The primary goal of the Telangana ration card is to provide adequate food at lower prices than the market to India’s economically disadvantaged inhabitants. Telangana state’s economically disadvantaged residents may access a range of essential facilities from ration stores established by the state government with the use of their ration card. The Public Distribution System (PDS) will provide all food grains and commodities to the populace at a discounted price. The names of all citizens who qualify for a ration card will be listed in the Telangana ration card list.
