The central government of India has launched the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana (PM- SYM) 2025. Announced by the Prime Minister of India, Mr Narendra Modi, the scheme aims to provide a pension to the citizens who are working in the unorganised sector. This scheme will work as an old-age support to all the citizens who have spent their time working in the unorganised sector. By providing old age support to residents, the scheme will provide social security and financial stability even in old age. The Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana is one of the most successful and essential schemes launched by the Prime Minister of India, Mr Narendra Modi. Through this initiative, the Government of India will provide pension support to the workers in the unorganised sector of retirement. Under the initiative, the central government of India promises to provide an assured pension of INR 3000 to all the select: on a monthly basis. Objective of Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana
The main objective of launching the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojanais to provide social security and financial stability to the financially weak citizens of the country. All the citizens who are currently working as rickshaw pullers, street vendors, mid-day meal workers, head loaders, brick kiln workers, cobblers, rag pickers, domestic workers, and washermen are eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme. The nodal department that administers the working of the scheme is the Ministry of Labour and Employment in collaboration with the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).

PMSYM Enrollment Process
- STEP 1: All the citizens who clear the eligibility criteria are requested to visit the nearest Common Services Centre (CSC) to apply for the Shram Yogi Maandhan 2025.
- STEP 2: Once the citizens reach the centre, they must consult with the government official and tell them their requirements.
- STEP 3: Now the government official will provide you with the application the citizens must enter all the details that are asked and attach in necessary documents.
- STEP 4: The citizens must submit the application form back to the official to successfully register under the Shram Yogi Maandhan 2025.

- STEP 3: A login page will appear on your desktop screen, where citizens must enter their mobile number and MPIN.
- STEP 4: After entering the details, the citizens must quickly review it and click on the option โloginโ to complete their process.
Exit and Withdrawal Rules under Shram Yogi Maandhan
- If the beneficiary takes exit form the scheme within 10 years then only the amount contributed by them will be transferred to their bank account with interest.
- ย If the subscriber exits after 10 years or more but before 60 years of age, the beneficiaryโs share of contribution along with accumulated interest as earned by the fund or at the savings bank interest rate whichever is higher.
- ย If a beneficiary has given regular contributions and died due to any cause, their spouse will be entitled to continue the scheme subsequently by payment of regular contribution or exit by receiving the beneficiaryโs contribution along with accumulated interest as earned by the fund or at the savings bank interest rate whichever is higher.
- If a beneficiary has given regular contributions and become permanently disabled due to any cause before 60 years, and is unable to continue under the scheme, their spouse will be entitled to continue the scheme subsequently by payment of regular contribution or exit the scheme by receiving the beneficiaryโs contribution with interest as actually earned by fund or at the savings bank interest rate whichever is higher.
- After the death of the subscriber as well as his/her spouse, the entire corpus will be credited back to the fund.
