The Jharkhand state government has launched the Jharkhand Government Health Insurance Scheme 2025. To provide health insurance coverage to all the Government employees and pensioners in Jharkhand state at an affordable rate the Jharkhand state government has announced the Jharkhand Government Health Insurance Scheme. The Chief Minister of Jharkhand state Mr Hemant Suren announced the launch of the scheme on Friday 28 February 2025. Under this scheme, the Government employees have to pay a monthly charge of INR 500 to avail the benefits of the Health Insurance Scheme. All the Government employees who clear the eligibility criteria are requested to visit the official website and fill out the application form online.
Objective of Jharkhand Government Health Insurance Scheme
The main objective of launching the Jharkhand Government Health Insurance Scheme is to provide health insurance to the Government employees of Jharkhand state at a rate lower than the market. The Jharkhand state government will provide cashless treatment worth INR 5 lakh in case of general disease and INR 10 lakh in case of any serious disease. For pensioners, they have to pay an annual charge of INR 6000 to get the benefits of cashless treatment. According to an estimation, the scheme will provide the benefits of Health Insurance to a total of 1.75 lakh Government employees of Jharkhand state.
