All the citizens of Delhi who have applied for the Ayushman Bharat scheme will soon receive the Ayushman Bharat card. The announcement of Ayushman Bharat card distribution was made by the Chief Minister of Delhi, Mrs. Rekha Gupta. With the help of this initiative, the citizens of Delhi can get free healthcare services up to INR 5 lakh by just showing their Ayushman Bharat card at the hospitals. After winning the Assembly election in Delhi, the new chief minister, Mrs Rekha Gupta, has launched the Delhi Ayushman Bharat scheme. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by the Union Health Minister of India, Mr. JP Nadda, and the Chief Minister of Delhi,i Mrs Rekha Gupta. After the application process is completed, the Delhi government is all set to provide the Ayushman Bharat card to the citizens from 10th April 2025. In the first phase of Ayushman Bharat card distribution, the Delhi government will provide a total of 2.43 lakh cards to the selected citizens of Delhi.

Objective of the Delhi Ayushman Bharat Card
The main objective of launching the Delhi Ayushman Bharat card is to provide free healthcare facilities to the citizens of Delhi and make medical services more affordable and accessible for all. The Delhi government has also announced that the authorities will provide an extra INR 5 lakh to all the selected citizens, making a total of INR 10 lakh worth of medical services. This scheme will uplift the social status and standard of living of all the financially unstable citizens of Delhi, allowing them to avail medical services from top hospitals without worrying about financial trouble.
