About Bangla Awas Yojana
The West Bengal State government has launched the Bangla Awas Yojana to provide affordable housing facilities to all the financially weak citizens of West Bengal State. The scheme was inspired by the centrally launched Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana aimed at providing affordable housing to citizens who do not have a permanent house. Under the first installment of the scheme, the chief minister of West Bengal State Mrs. Mamta Banerjee has released funds for a total of 6 lakh houses that are going to be built under the scheme. The selected citizens will receive financial assistance of INR 1.2 lakh in 3 installments from the state government.

Objective of Bangla Awas Yojana Payment
The main objective of launching the Bangla Awas Yojana payment is to inform all the selected beneficiaries about the payment structure of the scheme. This is a significant step of West Bengal State Government towards completely eliminating homelessness in the state by providing financial assistance for construction of houses. The first installment of INR 60000, the second installment of INR 40000, and the last installment of INR 20000 will be given to the citizens for the construction of their houses. The scheme will uplift the social status and standard of living of all the financially weak homeless citizens of the state.
