Eligibility Criteria
- The total income of the student’s family must not exceed INR 10,000 per month in rural areas and INR 12,000 in urban areas.
- At least one member of the household must possess a Rice Card.
- Land holding should be:
- Less than 3 acres of wetland, or
- Less than 10 acres of dry land, or
- Less than 10 acres combined (wet + dry)
- The monthly electricity consumption must be less than 300 units (average of 12 months).
- The household should not own municipal property of 1000 sq. ft. or more.
- The students must be studying in classes 1st to 12th in recognised schools.
- Orphans and street children enrolled through voluntary organizations are eligible, subject to departmental confirmation.
- The motherโs bank account must be Aadhaar-seeded and NPCI-enabled for DBT disbursement.
- Students must maintain at least 75% attendance to remain eligible for the subsequent year.
- Class I and Class XI enrollments for AY 2025โ26 will be considered post-enrollment.

Ineligibility Criteria
- The students must not own any four-wheel vehicle, taxi, auto, or tractor.
- Households owning municipal property of 1000 sq. ft. or more.
- Any household member:
- Employed in Central/State Govt. service/PSU, or
- Receiving a Government pension (except sanitation workers and low-income earners).
- Any member of the student’s household must not be an income taxpayer.
- Students enrolled in ITI/Polytechnic/IIIT (RGUKT) or other fee-reimbursed courses are not eligible.
- If a student discontinues studies or fails to achieve 75% attendance, they are ineligible for the next yearโs benefit.
- If the beneficiary is not in the household database, eligibility must be verified through GSWS field verification.
